FAQs
How do I sign up as a merchant?
Section titled “How do I sign up as a merchant?”Go to swimflows.com and click Dive In. Create an account with your email, verify it, and then follow the onboarding to create your first Workspace and Stream. The process takes under 30 minutes. See the Getting Started guide for a full walkthrough.
What are Drops?
Section titled “What are Drops?”Drops are the units buyers purchase and use to claim offers on SWIM. Buyers purchase Drops with cash — they are not earned through platform participation. When a buyer claims one of your offers, they evaporate the required number of Drops, and you fulfill the MBO. See Drops for the full explanation.
How do payments work?
Section titled “How do payments work?”When a buyer claims your offer, SWIM processes the transaction. After fulfillment is confirmed, your earnings are released minus SWIM’s fixed platform fee. Payout timing and supported payout methods depend on your account configuration. SWIM is designed to support multiple payment methods over time — see Payment Plurality.
What does SWIM charge?
Section titled “What does SWIM charge?”SWIM takes a small, transparent, fixed percentage of each completed transaction. The exact rate is displayed before you confirm your Workspace setup. There are no listing fees, no advertising fees, and no tiered plans that charge more for basic features.
What are the merchant ratings? Do you use stars?
Section titled “What are the merchant ratings? Do you use stars?”No. SWIM uses a bronze/silver/gold medal system — not star ratings. Your medal tier reflects your fulfillment consistency, buyer satisfaction, and Drop economy health over time. See Merchant Ratings for full details on what each tier means and how to move up.
Can I have more than one Stream?
Section titled “Can I have more than one Stream?”Yes. A single Workspace can have multiple Streams. You might run one Stream for physical goods and another for digital downloads, each with its own URL and offer catalog. You can also have multiple Workspaces under one account — useful if you operate more than one business.
What’s the difference between a Stream and a regular website?
Section titled “What’s the difference between a Stream and a regular website?”A Stream is purpose-built for commerce using SWIM’s Drop economy. It’s not a general-purpose website — it doesn’t have a blog, a contact form, or arbitrary pages. What it has is a clean, permanent storefront URL, a Drop-powered offer catalog, and built-in fulfillment tracking. For merchants who need general web presence alongside their Stream, the two work well together.
What happens to my data if I leave SWIM?
Section titled “What happens to my data if I leave SWIM?”Your merchant data — offer history, transaction records, buyer interactions — is yours. Economic Continuity is one of SWIM’s five foundational pillars. If you ever leave SWIM, you take your history with you. See Economic Continuity.
What does SWIM do with buyer data?
Section titled “What does SWIM do with buyer data?”SWIM collects only what’s necessary to operate. No behavioral profiles, no ad targeting, no selling data to third parties. See Identity Minimization for a full explanation of our data approach.
How do I get help?
Section titled “How do I get help?”For technical issues, use the support link in your merchant portal. For questions about a specific feature, check the relevant guide in this documentation first — most common questions are covered here. For urgent issues affecting active transactions, support response times are faster for Silver and Gold tier merchants.
Is SWIM available everywhere?
Section titled “Is SWIM available everywhere?”SWIM is available to merchants globally. Payment method availability varies by region, and we’re actively expanding supported methods. If you’re in a region with specific payment infrastructure needs, reach out to support — expanding Payment Plurality is an active priority.
What is the Kingdom Fund?
Section titled “What is the Kingdom Fund?”10% of SWIM’s net revenue goes to the Kingdom Fund — a commitment to commerce that serves people and communities, not just capital. It’s a structural part of how SWIM operates, not a marketing initiative.
