Glossary

Reference definitions for all SWIM-specific terminology. When a term has a dedicated concept page, it’s linked.

The global search results page, accessible at /browse. Browse is rendered when a buyer uses the command palette (press s anywhere on the platform) to search across all Streams and offers. It is not a catalog or a nav destination — it’s a search result surface. Direct links to Browse are not available from the main navigation.

SWIM’s upcoming publishing platform. Each merchant will have a Currents channel at /currents/:slug — a newsletter and long-form content space, similar to Substack. Currents is a sibling to Streams, not nested under them. Not yet built; see Coming Soon.

The platform access unit buyers purchase and evaporate to claim a Merchant Brand Offer. Drops are purchased with cash — they are not earned, not transferable between accounts, and not cashable. They are prepaid settlement units: more like cloud credits than loyalty points. See Drops.

The individual offer or entitlement a merchant makes available through their Stream. An MBO has a type (physical, digital, service, or experience), a Drop price, and a lifecycle: created → listed → claimed → fulfilled. “MBO” always refers to the offer itself, not the merchant or the platform. See MBOs.

A person or business that creates a Workspace and Stream on SWIM to sell offers to buyers. Merchants manage their commerce through the merchant portal at merchant.swimflows.com.

The individual item or experience listed in a Stream. Every offer is an MBO. See MBO above and MBOs.

SWIM’s animated brand mark — the orb that appears during loading states and on-brand moments throughout the platform. The Pacer visual design is locked and not subject to modification.

SWIM’s merchant trust tier system. All merchants start at Bronze. Consistent fulfillment and positive buyer feedback advance merchants to Silver and Gold. Ratings are medal-based — never star-based. See Merchant Ratings.

A merchant’s public-facing storefront on SWIM, accessible at /streams/:slug. A Stream contains the merchant’s published offers and is shareable anywhere. Streams are owned by a Workspace. See Streams.

SWIM’s upcoming music, video, and film platform. Waves lives at /waves/:slug/tracks/:id — a sibling to Streams and Currents, not nested under either. It handles the distinct licensing mechanics of creative media. Not yet built; see Coming Soon.

A merchant’s private company or legal identity on SWIM. Buyers never see a Workspace directly — it’s the entity that owns Streams and manages billing, team access, and legal details. One SWIM account can hold multiple Workspaces. See Workspace.
